Baked Maple Oatmeal

Baked in the oven this oatmeal
is a comfort food at it's best.
I like this because it uses
maple syrup in place of sugar.

Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup diced apple
1 cup milk
2 tbsp melted butter
1 large egg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine the dry ingredients,
including apple in a large bowl.
Combine milk, butter and egg.
Whisk until smooth.
Add the wet ingredients
to the dry ingredients. Stir well.
Pour the mixture into a greased dish.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until a
toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
Serve warm. Add a little milk if you like.
