How could you ever seriously make the statement "When buying hot dogs remember it's going in your body. Please don't get those chicken or turkey ones." ? Chicken and turkey sausages/hot dogs are far healthier, and taste pretty great too. Good 'ol hot dogs are tasty and OK every once in awhile, but if you're going to think about what's "going in your body," you should be more wary of the originals than of turkey or chicken. Cheers.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1667149387820768782.post-54288979416265200512013-03-03T13:45:31.238-08:002013-03-03T13:45:31.238-08:00I made two hot dogs this way,

But I never thought of adding oil after the evaporation.

I grew up on a lot of barbecue. I was given tough, well-done, heavily-peppered T-bone steaks when I was WAY too young to appreciate even a steak done right. And I was expected to consume adult-sized portions.

Well, the result of this is, I never barbecue. I prefer pan frying for burgers, love to have 'em dripping and pink inside, and I like my hot dogs briefly boiled, just enough to get 'em hot (about as much time as it takes to prepare the buns with condiments). They're already cooked in the package, after all. This is a good way to quickly make tasty hot dogs.
I'm doing this with Italian sausages.
Also adding onions and green peppers.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
