Pan Fried Leftover Pizza

One day back in 1976 I had a few leftover
pieces of homemade pizza and was looking
for a way to re-heat them without using the
microwave oven that makes the crust get hard.
I decided to try and pan fry them in just
a teaspoon or two of oil. This is really good !

Ingredients:
Leftover pizza slice
1 teaspoon canola oil for frying

Directions:
Heat oil in frypan on medium heat,
place slice of pizza crust side down in oil.
Cover and let cook 1 minute,
turn and cook for another minute.
Remove to paper towel to drain.
It gets warmed through,
the crust is crispy brown and it
almost tastes better than just made.
As long as you don't over fry it!

  1. My microwave quit about a week ago and in an effort to reheat leftover pizza with having to heat up the oven, I tried the stovetop methop, thinking that the covered skillet would act like an oven. It came out great! I have to say it was almost better this way.

    Thanks!

  3. This works with frozen pizza too!
It takes a little longer but hey,

  4. I put aluminum foil in the frying pan first, then pizza.
Turn the frying pan upside down, and put foil on bottom to form it to shape.
Turn pan upright, and place the foil inside it, then pizza. Cook carefully till it is done.
