This is a recipe for making mashed yams.
I like to bake them for added flavor.
Ingredients:
5 medium yams
unsalted butter to taste
Sea salt to taste
Cracked black peppercorns to taste
Directions:
Bake whole yams at 425 degrees F. until soft.
Peel the skin and mash with a potato masher.
Season with butter, salt and black pepper.
Keep warm until ready to serve.
