This is a good comfort food recipe for a cold winter day.
The brussel sprouts compliment the potatoes just fine.
I use slightly different seasonings every time I make this.
If you have some different blends you like,
even steak seasoning blends, try them out.
Ingredients:
1/2 pound Brussels sprouts, ends trimmed
off and sliced in half or quarters
1/2 pound red potatoes. cleaned and c
ut in sizes about equal to the Brussels sprouts
1-2 Tbs olive oil
garlic powder
seasoned pepper
dried parsley
1/4 cup chicken broth
Salt to taste
Directions:
Toss the Brussels sprouts,red potatoes.
olive oil, garlic salt,
seasoned pepper, and dried parlsey.
Heat a heavy skillet with a splash of olive oil
and add the potatoes and Brussels sprouts.
Cook until browned on one side and then stir
to get another side down onto the hot side of the pan.
Brown a few more minutes, then add the chicken broth
and stir, then cover and cook until the potatoes are soft
Then remove the lid and cook
until crisped up on the outside and serve.
