This french toast is really good.
Try slathering some peanut butter on it.
Ingredients:
1 egg whites (or 1/4 cup egg substitute)
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon or nutmeg
1 tsp. sugar
1 medium banana
1/2 loaf French Bread,cut into 1/2" slices
2 Tbsp. real Vermont Maple maple syrup
confectioner's sugar
Directions:
Beat egg whites, milk, vanilla,
cinnamon, sugar and banana in a blender until smooth.
Pour into a shallow bowl.
Dip each side of bread slices into egg mixture.
Place into a nonstick skillet
sprayed with cooking oil, over medium heat.
Cook until each side is golden brown.
Top with maple syrup and serve
topped with confectioner's sugar.
