As the weather gets colder it's chili time.
Make this as spicy hot as you desire.
It's balanced between sweet and spice,
easy to prepare in about one hour and cooks
on a low simmer for a few hours to finish.
4 cups water
1 pound ground beef
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 onion, peeled and diced
3 celery stalks, diced
1 teaspoon beef flavoring
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
2 small whole chili peppers, chopped
1 (15 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 can black beans
1 can red beans
Place water in a soup pot and add ground beef.
Bring to a boil to brown beef, then remove beef.
Add spices and vegetables to pot and bring to a boil.
Cook for about ten minutes to soften vegetables then
put beef back in along with tomatoes and beans.
Lower heat to simmer for about two or three hours.
