I made this recipe for banana bread,
added chocolate chips and a few
chopped walnuts into the batter.
Topped with a butter crumb topping.
This is a very good banana bread.
Ingredients:
For the batter:
2 very ripe large bananas, mashed
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup milk
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 eggs
2-2/3 cups Original Bisquick
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup chocolate chips
For the topping:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 cup butter, room temperature
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease bottom only of a 9X5X3 inch loaf pan,
In a large mixing bowl, combine all
ingredients except Bisquick and nuts;
stir until blended. Stir in Bisquick
chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.
Pour into prepared loaf pan.
In a bowl place brown sugar, flour and butter,
stir to mix well, apply to top of bread batter.
Bake banana berry nut bread for about 1 hour,
or until toothpick inserted in center
comes out clean; cool 10 minutes.
Loosen sides of loaf from pan and
remove to wire rack to cool completely.
