BBQ Grilled Onions

Ah the smell of onions carmalizing on the grill
is one of best aromas from back yard grilling.
I've made these hundreds of times and this recipe
is just about perfection on the grill.
The idea is to get the grill marks but not to
cook the onions on the grill, they tend to dry out.

Ingredients:
4 onions,peeled and thickly sliced
1/2 cup mildly hot not sweet BBQ sauce
1/2 cup butter,melted
salt to taste

Directions:
In a bowl combine sauce with butter.
Place onions on a baking sheet, pour sauce over onions.
Let sit for 20 minutes while lighting a grill, high heat.
Place onions on grill just long enough to get grill marks
on both sides, remove onions back to baking sheet.
Turn grill off,close lid.
Spinkle seasoning mixture on onions.
Wrap onions in aluminium foil and place back on grill.
Leave for 30 minutes, remove from grill, place in bowl.
Reheat in microwave a few seconds just before serving.
Salt to taste.
