Cincinnati chili has a much thinner consistency
to it than compared to Chili, and contains no beans.
I bought the sesoning mix and found it to be very salty.
This recipe is much better than using the mix.
Ingredients:
2 lbs. ground beef
3 large onions, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 15-oz can tomato sauce
1 C. beef broth
2 Tbsp. chili powder
2 Tbsp. vinegar
2 Tbsp. honey
1 Tbsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. ground cardamom
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
Directions:
In large pot on stovetop cook beef,
2 cups of the onion, and garlic until
beef is brown and onion is tender.
Drain fat. Stir in the remaining ingredients.
Bring to boiling, reduce heat.
Cover, simmer two hours over low heat.
This can also be used as a hot dog meatsauce.
