This recipe works with any fresh herb.
I steep the herbs in a simple syrup to
infuse the flavor and then strain
the herbs away in the final drink,
then add a fresh piece of which ever
herb I used to flavor the lemonade
in each serving glass just to let the
people know what kind of lemonade it is.
Ingredients:
1 bunch parsley
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
3 pound bag of lemons
Zest from one lemon
Cold water
Directions:
Remove large stems from the
parsley and roughly chop.
Place 1 cup water in a glass measure
and microwave two minutes.
Add sugar to the hot water
stir until the sugar is dissolved,
add the chopped parsley to the measure cup
and microwave a few seconds more until the
parsley flavor is infused.
Pass through strainer to remove herbs.
Now juice the lemons.
When the simple syrup is cool,
combine it with your lemon juice.
You could also use lemon concentrate.
Pour consentrate in pitcher, add lemon zest,
fill with cold water and refrigerate.
Garnish glasses with a sprig of parsley.
