Brown Sugar Shortbread Cookies

These aren’t sugar cookies.
They have an entirely different texture and flavor.
Make them and you’ll see what I mean.

Ingredients:
1 cup softened butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

Directions:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
In a large mixing bowl cream sugar and butter together.
Gradually add in flour. Once combined, pour dough
onto a lightly floured surface and begin kneading.
Keep kneading dough until smooth (about 3 minutes).
Roll out to 1/3 inch thickness.
Use cookie cutters or slice into shapes.
Place on an ungreased baking sheet 1 inch apart,
and bake for 25 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned.
Let cool for five minutes.
