Copycat Campbell's
Vegetable Beef Soup

This is a good soup and it's also good for you too!
It doesn't contain all of the preservatives
and salt that they put in the canned soups.

Ingredients:
2-3 pounds cubed beef
1/4 cup butter
3 quarts water
1 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
1 1/2 cups chopped carrots
3 medium potatoes
1 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup dried onions
1/2 cup barley
1 cubes beef bullion

Directions:
Peel then cube the potatoes.
Brown meat in butter.
Add all other ingredients.
Cook in a large pot on the stove
over low heat for 2 to 3 hours.
