Italian Tomato Meat Sauce for Pasta

This is my favorite recipe for making Italian
Meat Sauce to serve with your favorite pasta.

Ingredients:
1 lbs. ground beef
1 lbs. ground pork
1 med. onion, peeled and finely chopped
2 cloves garlic,peeled and minced
1 green pepper, seeded and finely chopped
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce, crushed
1 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
3 c. water
1/4 cup red wine
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. oregano leaves
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon celery seeds
1 bay leaf, crumbled
Water

Directions:
Cook and stir meat, onion, and pepper until
meat is brown and onion is tender.
Add water if needed to keep from burning.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours,
stirring occasionally.
Serve meat sauce over hot pasta.
Pass the Parmesan cheese.
