Jalepino Wonton Poppers

These are good, much better than the
frozen kind you can buy at the grocery store,
I think there better than plain old spring rolls.

Ingredients:
1 8-oz. package cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 4-oz. can diced jalepeno peppers
2 cloves garlic, pressed
3 green onions, thinly sliced
1 16-oz. package wonton wrappers
1 quart oil, for frying

Directions:
In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese,
Monterey Jack cheese, jalepenos, garlic and green onions.
Fill wonton wrappers with approximately
1 teaspoon cream cheese mixture each.
Fold wrappers into triangles and press the
edges with a moistened fork to seal.
In a large, deep skillet or deep fryer
heat the oil over medium high heat.
Drop 4 wontons at a time into the
oil and fry quickly, turning once.
Remove when golden brown and drain on paper towels.

I found that freezing them first helps
to keep the cheese from oozing out.
