This Mexican pizza recipe is rich and satisfying
and perfect for a cold winter night.
Make the crust ahead of time and the topping too,
then when you're ready to bake all you have to do
is assemble the pizzas and pop them in the oven.
Ingredients:
1 large pizza crust
1 onion, peeled and chopped
4 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
2 Tbsp. olive oil
16 oz. can refried beans
18 oz. jar taco sauce
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
4 oz. can green chilies, drained
2 cups bacon, cooked and crumbled
4 cups shredded Chedder cheese
Directions:
Saute onion and garlic in olive oil until tender.
Add beans, taco sauce, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, and bacon crumbles. Spread sauce evenly over pizza crust.
Top with shredded cheese. Bake at 400 degrees F.
20-25 minutes until cheese is melted, and begins to brown.
