Pork Chops and Scalloped Potatoes

I find a lot of people simply place the uncooked pork chops
on top of the uncooked potatoes and bake them in the oven.
I like to brown the pork chops in a fry pan first.

Ingredients:
4 potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 onion, quartered then sliced
2 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup milk
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons flour
salt and pepper to taste
4 pork chops

Directions:
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2.Place the sliced potatoes and sliced onion
in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish; mix gently.
Cover the potatoes and onions with cheese.
Fill dish with milk halfway. Dot the butter
on top of the cheese.
Season and flour the pork chops,
then brown in a fry pan in a little oil.
Place the pork chops on top of the potatoes and onions.
Bake 60 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Turn pork chops over halfway through cooking.
