Rhode Island Coffee Milk

First introduced to Rhode Islanders in the early 1920's,
coffee milk became so popular it was designated
the official state drink of Rhode Island in 1993.
Coffee milk is made with coffee syrup.
In Rhode Island, coffee milk is found in the
dairy case next to other flavored milk beverages.

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons coffee-flavored syrup
Autocrat Coffee Syrup and
Eclipse Coffee Syrup
are the preferred syrups in Rhode Island.
There are lots of internet sources
for purchasing this syrup online.

Directions:
In a large glass,
add coffee syrup and milk; stir well.
Taste and add more coffee syrup to taste.

Coffee milk is a great beverage -- it's a shame you don't see it as much outside the Northeast.
