Cheese Bread Appetizers

Cheesy bread bites make great appetizers.
Here's one of the simplest, most satisfying
quick appetizers you can make from common
pantry ingredients you probably have on hand.
This is a recipe that delivers maximum
satisfaction for minimum effort.

Ingredients:
4 to 6 slices white bread
1/2 cup shredded sharp Cheddar
2 to 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 to 2 teaspoons minced chives
Port or white wine
chopped onion
curry powder

Directions:
Prepare bread by removing crusts
and cutting into shapes as desired.
Punch out circles with glasses,
shapes with cookie cutters,
or just trim crusts and cut into triangles.
In bowl mix cheese with just enough
mayonnaise to hold together.
Mix in flavoring, until even distributed.
Spread on shapes of bread.
Place on cookie sheet lined with foil.
Bake at 375 degrees F. or under broiler
until golden brown and cheese melts. Serve warm.
