Heavenly Angel Hair Pudding

This recipe makes a good egg custard spaghetti pie.

Ingredients:
1/2 pound angel-hair pasta (or egg noodles)
3 tablespoons raisins
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 egg whites
3 cups milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups sugar

Directions:
Heat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil
and cook the pasta until barely al dente.
Drain well and place in a 2-quart ovenproof casserole.
Sprinkle the raisins over the pasta. Dust with a little sugar.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg whites,
vanilla and sugar until they turn yellow.
In a pot bring the milk to a boil.
Very gradually whisk the hot milk into the egg mixture.
Ladle the egg mixture over the pasta. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Place the casserole dish in a water bath
(a larger dish filled with several inches of water).
Bake for 20 minutes at 375 degrees F.,
lower heat to 350 degrees F. and cook another 25 minutes.
The custard should be firm to the touch.
