This is a recipe for a fantastic sauce
that I used to baste on fresh shrimp.
It's also very good on a rib-eye steak.
Ingredients:
8 scallions, chopped
1 tablespoon crushed black peppercorns
1 tablespoon black beans sauce
1/2 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon grapeseed oil
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 1/2 tablespoons minced ginger
1 teaspoons salt or to taste
Directions:
Heat the oil over medium heat in a skillet,
add the garlic, ginger, and scallion, and saute until golden.
Add the pepper, and cook until it becomes fragrant,
then add the remaining ingredients, and bring to a boil.
Simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from heat,
transfer to a blender, and puree until
the sauce becomes medium smooth.
