The springtime asparagus is now growing
in the garden, here is a quick recipe
I use for cooking it in the microwave.
They come out sweet, tender and flavorful.
You can freeze them now if you wish.
Ingredients:
Fresh asparagus
1/4 Water
Salt to taste
Butter
Directions:
Wash and remove tough end of stalks.
Cut asparagus into bite size pieces.
Place in a plastic bowl with a little water.
(Depending on how much asparagus you have.)
Cover loosly, and microwave on high power for
about 10 minutes or until tender.
Season with salt and some butter if desired.
