Fresh Apple Strawberry
Up-side Down Pie

This is without a dought one of the best!
It's Amazing and off the charts good!
A recipe I just created to make an
inverted fresh apple strawberry pie.
You bake this pie in an 8" cake pan
until the crust gets nice and brown.
Then turn it over onto a serving plate
and serve it along with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients:
1 9" prepared pie crust
4 apples, peeled and sliced
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
1/4 cup flour
3 teaspoons cinnamon
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl place flour, cinnamon
white sugar and salt, mix well.
Peel and slice apples into the bowl,
stir to combine with flour mixture.
Cut a piece of parchment paper in a circle
to fit the bottom of an 8" cake pan.
Then cut another piece of parchment paper
to line the sides of the cake pan.
Place parchment paper in cake pan.
Sprinkle some flour, the brown sugar and
lemon juice on the bottom of the pan.
Carefully arrange the apple slices
in a circle starting from the out side in,
until the bottom is mostly covered.
Sprinkle apples with salt to taste.
Arrange the strawberries around the apple
slices like putting pepperoni on a pizza.
Place remaining apples into cake pan.
Dot with butter. Sprinkle with brown sugar.
Turn edges of pie crust into center
to fit the size of the cake pan.
Place pie crust into cake pan to cover filling,
Place in oven and bake about 1 hour
or until crust is browned.
Remove from oven and using a butter knife
make sure the bottom edge is loose, let cool
enough to handle and make it easy to flip.
Place a large enough plate to cover the
cake pan over it and turn it up-side down.
The pie should fall easily to the plate.
Remove cake pan and parchment paper.
Some apple might stick to the parchment.
Serve with vanilla ice cream on the side.
It was so very good. I'm making this again!
