This is a recipe to cook or boil
the hot dogs in a pan and then
making a pineapple mustard glace
to finish them in, it's quite good.
I like the hot dogs on the grill
and then place them in the sauce.
Ingredients:
2 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 cup whole seed mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt ot to tase
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon thyme leaves, chopped
Directions:
Place hot dogs in a frypan large enough
to hold them in one layer. Cover with water.
Cook for about 10 minutes to heat through.
Remove hot dogs, set aside.
Combine sugar and pineapple juice in pan
and gently boil, stirring occasionally,
12 to 15 minutes or until thickened.
Whisk in mustard, salt, and pepper,
then stir in thyme. Add hot dogs back to pan.
Bring back to almost boiling,
remove hot dogs to serve on buns.
Use mustard mixture on top if desired.
