This is a recipe using port wine and
pomegranate juice to spice of pears.
Ingredients:
16 oz. White Port
6 oz. Pomegranate Juice
16 oz. Granulated Sugar
1/2 tsp. Ground Ginger
1/2 tsp. Ground Cardamon
4 Pears, chopped
Directions:
Place sugar, port and pomegranate juice
in saucepan over medium heat.
Stir well to dissolve sugar.
Increase heat to medium high and reduce
by 75% to reach syrup like consistency.
Add chopped red pears; slightly poach.
Remove from heat to cool.
Label, date and refrigerate.
