This is a recipe to make a pie
that surprisingly looks and
tastes like a pecan pie but
has no pecans in it at all.
Ingredients:
2 eggs, beaten
2/3 cup margarine, melted
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup light corn syrup
2/3 cup regular rolled oats
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
Unbaked 9-inch pie crust
Directions:
Combine the eggs, margarine, sugar,
corn syrup, oats, salt and vanilla.
Mix well. Pour into unbaked pie crust
and bake in 350 degree F. oven for 1 hour.

I used the ingredients except rolled oats and substituted pecans on the bottom of an unbaked pie crust and the end result was absolutely outstanding. The aroma, the aroma...and the pie is absolutely restaurant quality! Thanks for the inspiration.
