This is a good recipe that lets the
crock pot do most of the work allowing
for the cook to go about doing other
things as the meat loaf slowly cooks.
Ingredients:
2 lbs. lean ground beef 85/15
1 egg, plus 1 egg yolk
2/3 old-fashioned rolled oats
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
1/2 c. ketchup or barbecue sauce
Directions:
Reserve 2 tablespoons ketchup or barbecue sauce.
Combine beef, eggs, oats, soup mix
and remaining ketchup.
Shape into a round loaf for
Crock Pot or oblong for oven.
Put into Crock Pot.
Top with remaining ketchup.
Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours
or on high setting for 4 to 6 hours.
