This is a great tasting onion dip.
With green chives added to the party.
Goes good on crackers and toast points.
Sometimes I even add some dried onions
for that added extra crunch of onion.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon snipped chives
Directions:
Place butter and onions in a
small saute pan and cook until
just browned, do not let burn.
Remove onions to drain on paper towels.
In a small mixing bowl, combine cream cheese,
mayonnaise, milk, and snipped chives.
Add carmalized onions to dip and stir.
Refrigerate 1 hour before serving.
