How to Thicken Soup

I read about doing this trick before,
today was the first day I actually did it.
I worked out great and even better tasting
than I ever thought it would have.

Today I made some fresh tomato soup.
Simple enough to make and season up.
But it was too watery and needed thickening.
I took two slices of rye bread with caraway
seeds and chopped them into the hot soup.

Used my immersion blender to puree the soup
into a great tasting creamy tomato soup.
I'm gonna have to remember this trick!
