Gummy Bear Butter Cookies

I like to use different items in baking
that bring smiles to peoples faces.
Using Gummy Bears on butter cookies
sure makes these a special treat.
You can't bake them in the batter,
the bears just melt and dissapear.
So I topped the cookies with the bears.
The kids go crazy for these cookies.

Ingredients:
2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup softened butter
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 large egg, beaten
Gummy bears as topping

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Put the flour, baking soda
and baking powder in a bowl.
Stir them well.
Mix the sugar and butter until it becomes creamy.
Beat and add the egg. Add the vanilla extract.
Blend the dry ingredients into the mix.
Shape the dough into balls.
Put them on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. After baking,
arrange Gummy bears on top of the cookies,
pressing them into the cookie a little.
Let sit for 2 minutes before
removing onto wire racks to cool.
