An easy recipe for making a
simple roux that you can use
to thicken up sauces and soups.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 cup flour
salt to taste
Directions:
Melt butter in a sauce pan,
add flour and stir to blend.
Cook for 2 minutes stirring,
do not let flour and butter brown,
add milk and keep stirring
into a creamy and rich sauce.
Season with salt to taste.
