This recipe is simple to prepare and
tastes like it took all day to make.
I like to make this when ever I have
some left over cooked white rice.
Adding a few breakfast sausages
gives this soup a great light taste.
You can add celery or whatever,
but I like to keep this one simple.
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked rice
4 cooked breakfast link sausages
1 ( 28 ounce ) can crushed tomatoes
Black pepper to taste
Dash of lemon juice
Soup crackers for garnish
Directions:
Cut up sausages and place in a food processor,
Pulse to a fine grind and place in a soup pot.
Add crushed tomatoes and rice.
Cover soup pot and bring to a boil,
reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
Season with black pepper and lemon juice.
Serve with a dash of lemon juice and
Soup crackers for garnish.
