Citrus Soy Sauced Chicken

I used chicken thighs in this but I'm sure you could
use chicken breasts as well and it would be good.

4 chicken thighs, skin on
1 cup chicken broth or stock
1/4 cup light brown sugar
2 navel oranges, sliced
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Place chicken in a roasting pan and pour
in sugar, oranges, vinegar, soy sauce and
season with ground black pepper to taste.
Pour in chicken broth, cover and bake for
about 45 minutes, remove cover and bake
until chicken starts to brown adding more
broth or water to pan if it dries out as needed.
