Apple Pan Dowdy

Ingredients:
6 lg peeled and sliced apples or 2 cans of apples for pie
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbs flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
butter
1 Cup Bisquik
1/3 cup milk

Directions:
Mix together sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Place apples in bottom of baking dish,
sprinkle sugar mixture over apples.
Dot with butter.
Combine a topping bisquik and milk.
Mix well. Turn onto a floured
surface, roll out to fit top of dish.
Make several slits in top,
bake at 350 - 375 until brown (about 40- 45 minutes).

Sauce
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp nutmeg
pinch salt
1 tbs butter
2 heaping tbs flour
1 1/4 - 1 1/2 cups water
2 tbs vinegar

Mix dry ingredients together.
Add water slowly, add vinegar.
Add butter. Stir constantly until thickened.
Pour over apple mix.
Serve hot.
