Delicious Cholcolate Ovaltine Cookies

I had bought a canister of Ovaltine awhile ago
in the hopes of recreating the childhood memory
of that malted milk drink from my youth.
So there the canister was, taking up space.
I decided to try and make some cookies using it.
This is the recipe I came up with and it is good.
the cookies came out nicely light and crispy.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup shortening
4 tablespoons confectioner's sugar
6 tablespoons Ovaltine
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup milk
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a standing mixing bowl,
cream butter and shortening
for two minutes at high speed.
Add sugar and mix for 30 seconds.
Add egg and vanilla extract mix well.
In another bowl combine flour, baking powder
ginger,baking soda,allspice,cloves, and salt.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl
and mix until all are well combined.
Stir with a wooden spoon to scrape the sides
of bowl and make sure everything is combined.
The mixture will be light and soft.
Drop by teaspoonfuls two inches apart onto
a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until bottom is
lightly browned, do not over bake.
The cookies will not spread out that much.
