This could be the favorite food of Texas.
This is a really good but high calorie dish,
you should try it at least once in your lifetime.
Ingredients:
1 lb. cubed steak
1/2 tsp. meat tenderizer
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tb. and 1/4 c. flour
1/2 cup. oil
1/4 cup. chopped onion
1 1/2 cup. water
Ingredients:
Sprinkle steak with meat tenderizer and salt.
Dredge steaks in 1/4 c. flour. Heat
oil in frying pan. When oil is hot,
brown steak on both sides.
Remove steak from pan. Reduce heat.
Stir in 2 tb. flour and dash of salt.
Brown flour. Add about 1 1/2 cup. water.
Return steak to pan. Add onions.
Cover. Simmer on low heat 20-30 minutes
until meat is tender.
If gravy is too thick,
add more water to make gravy the
right consistency.
Also, check for taste on salt.
Serve hot with biscuits,
mashed potatoes and salad.
