Italian Sausage Stromboli

A fun twist on pizza for dinner.
Make two and freeze one for another night.

Ingredients:
1/2 lb. sausage links, mild or hot
1 container refrigerated pizza dough
nonstick spray
1/4 cup pizza or pasta sauce
1 7 oz. jar roasted red peppers
1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Optional Ingredients: sliced ripe olives, onions,
mushrooms, green peppers, artichoke hearts, pepperoni.

Directions:
Cook sausage according to package directions.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
While sausage is cooking, spray a 13x9"
baking sheet with non-stick spray.
Roll out pizza dough on tray to approx. 11x8".
Spread pasta sauce on top of dough.
Drain roasted red peppers and dice.
When sausage is cooked, cut links into
thin slices and arrange on top of sauce.
Then arrange red pepper pieces
and any other optional ingredients
you choose on top of sausage. Cover with cheeses.
Roll from short-end and turn over to put seam side down.
Also swivel on baking pan lengthwise.
Cut four diagonal slits across top.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
