Penne Pasta with Basil Dressing

Every once in awhile I go back to the basics.
You know fresh and simple ingredients.
This simple dish tastes of springtime to me.
Even in the middle of the coldest of winters.

Ingredients:
1/2 pound dried penne pasta
1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
Fresh parmesan cheese for garnish

Directions:
Cook pasta in salted boiling water
ten minutes or until al dante.
Drain pasta but do not rinse.
Place pasta in a bowl and add
olive oil and fresh basil leaves.
Toss and plate with freshly
shaved parmesan cheese on top.
