Ham Potato and White Bean Soup

This is a very delicious recipe for ham, bean and potato soup I made.
It's a very easy one to make and the great thing about it is
that you can add more ingredients and it still turns out great.
This is one of the best recipes I've ever come up with!

Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups peeled and diced white potatoes
1 can white navy beans
1/3 cup diced celery
1/3 cup finely chopped red onion
3/4 cup diced cooked smoked ham
3 1/4 cups chicken broth or water
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
5 tablespoons unsalted butter
5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk

Directions:
In a big stock pot.
Combine the potatoes, celery, onion, ham and broth or water.
Bring to a boil, then cook over medium heat until potatoes are tender, Stir in the chicken bouillon cubes, salt and pepper.
In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat.
Whisk in flour with a fork, and cook, stirring constantly until thick.
Stir in the milk and the white navy beans with the juice.
Continue stirring over medium heat until thick, 4 to 5 minutes.
Stir the milk mixture into the stockpot,
and cook soup until heated through.
Serve along with crusty Italian bread.
