Restaurant Style Ham Salad

There are many recipes for ham salad,
this one is my all time favorite.
I made this about thirty years ago,
it's still good to this day!
The secret to this restaurant recipe,
is that the dressing calls for some
honey as well as stone ground mustard.
I always make this with leftover ham,
it's great for a rye bread sandwich.

Salad Ingredients:
1 1/2 pound trimmed, diced ham
1/2 cup celery,minced
2 tablespoons red onion,diced
2 hard cooked eggs, chopped

Dressing Ingredients:
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons stone ground mustard
1 teaspoon sweet basil
1 1/2 teaspoons honey
2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
Chop about 1/3 of the ham (1/2 pound) I use a food processor
then combine with other salad ingredients
(diced ham, celery, onion, eggs)
In a mixing bowl,
combine dressing ingredients
and mix until smooth.
Combine ham mixture with dressing.
And refrigerate until used.
