Schnitzel and Spatzel

Another authentic German recipe, this one
for pork and noodles, it's a good one.

Ingredients:
1 Lb. Boneless Pork meat
1 Med. Onion Chopped and Fried
or 1 can French
Fried onions
1 1/2 Cups Water
1 Beef Bouillon Cube
1 Tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup Sour Cream
1 Can mushrooms drained
Enough egg noodles for four,
cooked and drained
4 oz mozzarella cheese
Fried bacon or bacon bits

Directions:
Cut pork in small pieces and brown in skillet.
Prepare noodles and drain.
Make Sauce - Mix 1 1/2 cups water, bouillon cube
and one tablespoon cornstarch in a quart pan.
Cook sauce until it starts to thicken.
Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.
If using fresh onions fry in skillet until brown.
In 9X13 baking dish lay the chopped,
browned pork in the bottom.
Lay the cooked noodles over the pork.
Sprinkle the cheese over the noodles
and pour the sauce over the cheese, noodles and pork.
Sprinkle the onions
(fresh fried or purchased french fried),
bacon bits and mushrooms over the cheese.
Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes.
