These are quite nice the smell in the kitchen is heavenly too.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs crab apples
1/2 pint cider vinegar
1 1/2 lbs sugar
1/2 level teasp ground ginger
1/4 level teasp ground cloves
1 level teasp cinnamon
Directions:
Wash and halve the apples. Heat vinegar and sugar
gently until dissolved, then add spices and apples.
Simmer gently until apples tender but unbroken,
then lift them out with a slotted spoon into warm jars.
Boil the syrup to reduce by half, pour over apples, seal.
