I just finished with this recipe
making a Bisquick coffee cake using
sour cream instead of milk,
fresh pears instead of apples.
And double the topping mixture.
It came out perfectly.
It's cooling now on the counter,
I can't wait to cut a piece of it.
Ingredients:
For the mix:
2 cups Bisquick mix
1 egg
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoonn vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream
For the fruit:
1 pear, peeled cored and sliced
For the topping:
1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup oatmeal
1 stick butter, room temperature
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
In mixing bowl combine topping mixture.
In another bowl combine batter mixture.
Grease a glass baking dish, pour batter into dish.
arrange pear slices into batter over entire batter.
Cover with topping mixture.
Bake for 20 minutes of until done.
