I'm not a drinker of alcohol and find
it difficult to grasp the flavors of it.
I do like Marsala flavored chicken or shrimp.
This is one of my newest recipes for a
great one pot wonder of a chicken dish.
Flavored with boubon, which is a whiskey.
This chicken dish is intoxicatingly good.
Ingredients:
2 lbs chicken breasts, cut in pieces
1-2 tablespoon olive oil
1 garlic clove, peeled and crushed
1/4 teaspoon ginger
3/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 cup bourbon whiskey
1/3 cup light brown sugar
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
4 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup soy sauce
some flour or cornstarch
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet.
Coat chicken in flour or cornstarch.
Add chicken pieces to skillet,
turning and cooking until lightly browned.
Remove chicken. Add remaining ingredients,
heating over medium Heat until well mixed and dissolved.
Add chicken and bring to a hard boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Serve over hot rice
