Farfalle with Basil and Parmesan

This is a good salad for a summer time picnic.
There is no mayonnaise in this dish.

Ingredients:
3/4 pound thin farfalle
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup sliced black pitted olives
1/2 cup finely shredded basil leaves
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese,
plus additional cheese to be served on the side

Directions::
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil
and add the farfalle and cook until tender,
stirring the strands often. Drain.
Return the pasta to the pot over
medium-high setting and add the butter,
olive oil, basil, salt,
and pepper,olives, and 1/2 cup cheese. Toss to blend.
Serve with additional Parmesan cheese on the side.
