A lot of people grill salmon on a plank of wood.
Which is o.k. I guess but this way is just as easy.
I make a flat boat out of aluminum foil for wood chips
to sit in and the salmon cooked right on top of them.
The cooking juices keep the chips smoking the fish.
this is a real good recipe, you should try this soon.
Ingredients:
4 salmon fillets
1 lemon, sliced
4 teaspoons butter
2 teaspoons sweet smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
1/2 teaspoon pepper or to taste
2 cups hickory chips, soaked in water
Directions:
Preheat grill to medium heat.
Make four aluminum boats by folding up all four edges.
Put hickory chips into boats.
season salmon with salt, pepper and paprika.
Place salmon on top of wood chips.
Place 1/2 teaspoon butter on each salmon.
Place two slices of lemon on each salmon.
Put aluminum boats on grill, cover and cook
for about 5 to 10 minutes until done.
remove from grill, remove skin from fish.
Plate and top with fresh lemon slices.
