This is my Grandmother's recipe for making an apple pie.
I made a few adjustments because she used to use lard.
This is the recipe for the apple pie filling,
you can use your own or a store bought crust.
This is an oldie but a goodie apple pie recipe!
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons flour or corn starch
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
6-8 apples
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
Par and core apples and cut in small slices.
Place in bowl and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
Add corn starch or flour.
Place apples in uncooked 9" pie shell.

Press or crimp the two crusts together around pie.
Sprinkle top of crust lightly with granulated sugar.
Prick top with a fork several times.
