A few years ago a friend of mine taught me how
to make potato chips in a microwave.
I thought she was kidding because I just
couldn’t imagine a microwave producing crispy chips.
After cooking them for 10 minutes they were done!
You must try this , it really works!
Ingredients:
1 russet potato, peeled
2 tablespoons olive oil
Parchment paper
Salt to taste
Directions:
Cut a piece of parchment paper to fit the inside of your microwave.
Peel 1/3 of a potato into paper thin slices.
Pat dry on paper towels really good.
Put olive oil in a sealable plastic bag, place potato slices in bag.
Seal and mix to cover potatoes with oil.
Place the potato slices in a single layer on parchment paper.
Cook on high power for 5 minutes.
Turn 90 degrees and cook another 5 minutes.
Some chips may turn very dark brown.
Sprinkle with salt to taste.
