I could put this sauce on dirt
and it would taste really good.
I first made this bourbon sauce
at least over thirty years ago.
It's good on baked potatoes,
great on grilled steak or shrimp.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
6 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup buttermilk
4 tablespoons Bourbon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon white corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
In a glass bowl, mix all ingredients.
Place in microwave oven and cook on high.
Bring to a boil for 1 minute.
Stir to combine and serve warm.
