These wings are good tasting and messy.
You can toss them in the oven to finish.
Some times I like the saucy messy kind.
The crock pot makes these easy to make.
And they stay warm in it for gatherings.
Ingredients:
20 chicken wings
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 1/2 cup spicy barbecue sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
Hot sauce to taste
Directions:
Rinse chicken wings and pat dry.
Cut off and discard wing tips, then cut
wings at the joint to make two sections.
Sprinkle wing pieces with salt and pepper;
place wings on a lightly oiled broiler pan.
Broil for 10 minutes on each side
or until they are browned.
Transfer wings to slow cooker.
In a bowl, combine barbecue sauce, butter,
honey, spicy mustard, cumin, paprika
Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce.
Pour sauce over chicken wings.
Cover and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours
or on HIGH 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
Serve with plenty of paper towels on hand.
